Terms and Conditions for the Third Camberwell Scout Group
1. Membership
Membership in the Third Camberwell Scout Group is open to individuals within the designated age range and meeting the requirements outlined by the Scout Association.
All members must agree to abide by these terms and conditions, the national Scouting policies and code of conduct, and any additional rules established by the group leadership.
Membership fees will be charged to cover program costs and operational expenses.
2. Participation
Regular attendance at meetings and activities is encouraged. Excessive absences may affect continued membership.
All members are expected to participate in activities in a respectful and safe manner, following instructions from designated leaders.
Engaging in disruptive, unsafe, or harmful behaviour may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.
3. Safety and Health
Parents/guardians of young members are responsible for ensuring their child’s health and well-being at all times. Any medical conditions or allergies must be disclosed to leaders.
All members must adhere to safety procedures and guidelines outlined for each activity. Failure to do so may result in exclusion from the activity.
Participation in certain activities may require additional safety precautions or parental permission.
4. Communication
Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping their contact information up-to-date. Important announcements and updates will be communicated through email, WhatsApp or our website.
Open communication between parents/guardians and leaders is encouraged. Concerns or questions should be addressed promptly and respectfully.
5. Transportation and Events
Parents/guardians are responsible for providing transportation to and from meetings and activities unless specified otherwise.
Field trips and events may have additional safety requirements and permission forms. Consent and payment are required before participation.
The use of personal electronic devices during activities may be restricted for safety and focus reasons.
6. Media and Privacy:
Photography and videography may occur during activities for promotional purposes. Parents/guardians can opt out by notifying leadership in writing.
Personal information of members and families will be collected and used responsibly, adhering to data privacy regulations.
7. Disclaimer and Release of Liability
Participation in scouting activities involves inherent risks. All members and parents/guardians understand and accept these risks and release The Third Camberwell Scout Group and its representatives from liability for any injury or loss arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence.
8. Modifications and Termination
These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time with prior notice.
The Third Camberwell Scout Group leadership reserves the right to terminate membership for violation of these terms or for any other reason deemed necessary.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be addressed through an internal mediation process before seeking external resolution.
By joining The Third Camberwell Scout Group, members and parents/guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
